What I’m Reading: Lynn Viehl and Fern Michaels

You get two blogs for the price of one today.  Aren’t you lucky?

I’m still reading For All Their Lives by Fern Michaels.  While the plot has been somewhat predictable (a la Danielle Steel), it’s got me hooked.  I’m almost done, and I have to know what happens.  I’m pleasantly surprised at how much I care.  I also suspect I know how it ends, and well, I just hope it’s not too depressing.

I also started After Midnight by Lynn Viehl.  This is her first ever YA (young adult) book, so I was curious to see how she’d handle it.  It’s really, really good.  An MC I care about, a mystery boy, a family mystery, a touch of the paranormal.  I think I’m going to love it.

Lynn Viehl, by the way, is one of my favorite authors.  She’s an auto-buy for me.  She’s that good.  And she’s wonderful to her fans and fellow writers.  I’d read a shopping list of hers if that’s what she published.  If you haven’t checked out any of her books, what are you waiting for?  And she also writes amazing science fiction as S.L. Viehl.

Next up: Green-Eyed Envy by Kasey Mackenzie, which I’ve been dying to read since I finished Red Hot Fury.

So that’s where I’m at for now.  Stay tuned.
